About Blake
Blake grew up in a farming town and witnessed firsthand the impact of bad policy. After attending Cornell University, he moved to Oklahoma to teach middle school where he met his husband, Daniel. He currently teaches Algebra II and Statistics, and is a part-time law student at Fordham University.
Why is Blake in this fight?
"Over my lifetime, I've watched our systems that were supposed to protect us collapse. When we lost our home to the Great Recession, we blamed the banks. When my grandmother's factory closed, we blamed corporate America. When my students crowd into a corner during a drill, we blame the NRA.
Everywhere we look, systems are failing and people are hurting. It's time we blame the politicans who brought us here."
